The C82 BR Rail Wagon - STURGEON has been put back to 2010. There is a prototype picture here. The Bolster D wagon is now available with Gloucester bogies and vacuum brake fittings. It also includes stanchions for the BSW timber wagon conversions done in the 1980s. This is Kit C85 — see BR Steel Carriers page
Whilst machining the roof mould for the SECR brake van, the opportunity has been taken to make the roof for an SECR D1426 van, which has a similar roof profile. This van has been added to the list, indicating it is forthcoming, but there is no release date for it yet.
Pictured below is our 17' 6" over headstocks, 10' 0" wheelbase underframe. The floor and solebars/axleguards are moulded in one piece, a rolling chassis takes about a minute — just press in bearings and fit the wheels. This moulding is used in kit C84 MR D664 12ton Van, and will be available later as an underframe kit (unfitted double brake type). Kit C79 LSWR Open will have a similar underframe.

About our kits:

These are plastic kits which include underframes etc. & bogies (where needed). You will need wheels/bearings, transfers, couplings & paint to complete our kits. Most kits have mounting blocks for Hornby metal couplings, some newer ones (C48, C66, C77, C78, C84) have blocks suitable for Bachmann Mini couplings. Bogies can be fitted with either Hornby or Bachmann couplings.
TBA in the price column = "To Be Announced". These kits are not yet available, and kits with "Cxx" instead of a number are further down in production order.

Transfers are available in the Modelmasters', Cambridge, Scalemodeltransfers and HMRS ranges. Transfers for PO wagons are available from POWsides. Suitable paint colours are in the Precision Paint range — kit instructions give reference numbers. The Railmatch range also includes similar colours but these are not currently indicated in our instructions.

Wheels:

We recommend Alan Gibson or Romford (Jackson) wheels. Avoid "RTR" types such as Hornby or Bachmann as these may be larger than the kit is designed for — this could make fitting couplings difficult, particularly on shorter wagons; also the axle length may also be shorter than the recommended makes' standard axles (26mm).

NOTE: BR wagons with "A" as the third letter of the TOPS code, e.g. BAA, generally have/had disc brake wheels. There are discs to fit onto 3-hole wheels in most kits where needed, alternatively disc brake wheels are in the Romford range (not stocked by us).
Walrus and Whale hoppers are likely to have had plain disc wheels (not stocked by us).
The GWR Crane and Match truck requires two axles S and two axles T.
Types are shown for the sort of wheels fitted when built, but may have been replaced later, e.g. "Open" spoked by spoked, and spoked by 3-hole.

There are three files. The first file will print the cover/page 20 and first sides of the other sheets (3/18 etc.). You may need to print page one to test your printer settings (A4 Landscape). The second file prints the other sides, starting with pages 10/11 which go on the back of pages 9/12 (i.e. in reverse order to the first sides). Don't forget to reload the printed sheets in the same order as they will be used by your printer. You may need to reverse the order of the pages, depending on how your printer loads paper
The third file prints the colour illustration of "cambrian" on the right-hand side of the front cover. This is A4 Portrait.
